We are looking for a research assistant in the field of drone systems for our project with the startup Flybionic. Flybionic provides innovative mobile communication solutions for drone applications beyond line-of-sight. Our highly skilled experts develop and implement customized technologies that enable our customers to operate drones safely and efficiently in various scenarios.
What you will do
Development of innovative algorithms for communication and control systems for application in drone technology Implementation and optimization of software solutions to ensure efficient and reliable system integration Creation and analysis of simulation-based scenarios for the evaluation and further development of algorithms for different use cases Working closely with customers and users to understand technical requirements and translate them into powerful algorithmic solutions Supporting the demonstration and presentation of technical solutions as part of customer meetings and project scenarios
What you bring to the table
Degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or a related field User experience with autopilot software such as Ardupilot or PX4 Creation of algorithms Extensive experience with Python and Linux operating systems Experience in how a startup works Proficiency in German and English language

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
