Program Manager, New Product Introduction (Drone)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager for New Product Introduction to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the successful introduction of new products from the engineering phase to scaled operations . The ideal candidate will have experience with drone systems, general robotics, and advanced AI/ML imagery analytics.  You will have strong project management skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities:

  •  Project Planning and Execution:

    • Collaborate cross functionally to gather stakeholder requirements, develop,  and execute comprehensive project plans outlining key milestones, tasks, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements for operationalizing new products

    • Develop, document, and implement operational methods for new products to establish standards for deployment  globally

    • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, including sales, product, engineering, and operations, to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle

    • Monitor and report on project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on schedule and budget

    • Coordinate new products and releases by providing testing procedures, creation of process documentation, and hands-on training with the operations team during product infancy

  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables for new products

    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and priorities

    • Coordinate feedback and updates between operations, product, and engineering

  • Resource Allocation and Management:

    • Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to ensure projects are delivered within scope and budget

    • Identify resource constraints and work with stakeholders to allocate resources appropriately to meet project objectives

    • Lead sourcing, negotiation, and contracting for the procurement of resources and supplies to successfully bring new products to market

  • Quality Assurance, Safety and Compliance:

    • Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure that new products meet defined specifications and regulatory requirements.

    • Experience performing personnel risk assessments and RAMS documentation

    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address any quality issues or compliance concerns throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in new product introduction processes.

    • Drive initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance cross-functional collaboration, and optimize resource utilization.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry-related experience required 
  • Proven experience (3 years) in project management, with a focus on new product introductions or product development.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and negotiate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing programs of complex diversity and scope which are of critical importance to overall company objectives 
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate work schedules across all North and South American and European time zones
  • Excellent planning, scheduling, and project management skills with the ability to work both independently and in team settings.
  • Able to work remotely and direct or coordinate effectively with a fully remote workforce.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Solid computer skills (Google suite, Slack, Zoom).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to travel for short to medium-term engagements (up to 40% travel)
  • Need to be physically fit and have good stamina, for field testing could include climbing and heavy lifting
