Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Aerospace/Drone) - School of Engineering

[What the role is]
As academic staff, you will play an active role in the academic, professional and personal development of your learners to prepare them for work & life.

[What you will be working on]

  • Conduct lessons, create teaching and assessment materials and mentoring of students 

  • Develop and maintain new/existing teaching curriculum for learning units related to Aerospace Systems, Unmanned Aerial Systems, Urban Air Mobility, Human Factors, etc.  

  • Undertake projects/consultancy work with both internal and external stakeholders 

  • Deploy effective pedagogy to facilitate learning  Lead or represent in committees and contribute to administrative/management tasks (i.e. outreach, student recruitment, project management etc.)

[What we are looking for]

  • Relevant qualification in Electronics, Electrical, Aerospace/Avionics Engineering or related disciplines 

  • At least three years of relevant work experience in avionics-related work on commercial aircraft MRO, either at hangar or workshop level or drones-related work. 

  • Possess Unmanned Aerial Pilot License (UAPL)/ equivalent experience

  • Passionate about education and keen in mentoring, teaching and motivating both youth and adult learners 

  • Strong industry linkages in the related fields 

  • Self-driven, independent and possess the readiness to work as a team 

  • A people-oriented individual with strong interpersonal, written and communication expertise  

  • Keen interest in developing new capabilities through projects and self-learning 

  • Possess a strong interest in exploring new technologies
