The armament team is responsible for the integration of external weapons and stores onto the new Eurodrone aircraft. Weapon/store integration is a multidisciplinary task, involving the majority of all aircraft systems and design disciplines. The position of one Weapon/Store Integration Coordinator and Technical Approver is currently vacant.

The Eurodrone Store Integration Coordinator and ATA 96-00 Technical Approver, forthe scope of the individual Stores Integrations onto the Eurodrone platform,
acts as primary technical manager to Chief Engineering to ensure that the overall Eurodrone system architecture and system design, in coherence with airworthiness, safety, functional and operational needs, is suitable for the individual store integration and its safe separation (e.g., stores: general purpose bombs, guided bombs, air to surface and air to air missiles, pods, tanks, etc.);
is accountable for authoring the Platform to Store Interface Control Documents (ICDs), which represents the overarching and holistic technical specification for the individual store integration onto Eurodrone, and ensures the dissemination of general way of working and the coordination for its review, validation and cascade into Eurodrone design, across the entire Chief Engineering and Engineering organization;
is responsible to drive the platform/store compatibility workflow across all project phases – e.g., during preliminary design, detailed design, integration, ground and flight tests, including preparation and review of related documentation and reporting;
acts as primary technical management reference to Main Subcontractors and Weapon/Store Suppliers as well as to all Airbus internal functions for all matters related to store integration;
leads the preparation, coordination, and consistency of technical proposals and bids in support to programme, contractual and commercial stakeholders, including the detailed store integration planning across all impacted technical disciplines;
acts as Technical Approver for ATA 96-00 “Stores” under delegation of Head of Weapon Systems and represents the Design Office in all related fora, including Certification Qualification Panel with OCCAR and Eurodrone Participating States (PPS);
functionally leads a team to accomplish the previous tasks.
Master in Aeronautical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
Several years professional experience in Armament or Systems Engineering, as well as professional experience in the Eurodrone programme
Professional experience in certification and qualification of aircraft systems
Knowledge in other weapon systems (Eurofighter, Tornado) will be
advantageous
Knowledge in:
o DOORS
o MBSE (Cameo)
o MIL-STDs for weapon integration (e.g., MIL-STD 1760)
Analytic, structured, and autonomous way of working
Teamworker attitude
Willingness to learn, reliability, and resilience
Business fluent in English and German
