Action Property Management, a premier management company, is seeking a full-time Building Engineer for our Madrone property in San Francisco.
The Building Engineer under the direction and supervision of the Lead Building Engineer, is responsible for maintaining, correcting deficiencies, and/or making repairs to all "common areas" within the Association as described below. Continuous hands-on training will always be provided. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Patch and paint the common areas of the building.
  • Repair wallpaper in the common areas of the building.
  • Perform general cleaning of the engineering spaces.
  • Clean and paint non-operating mechanical equipment, which has been shut down, locked out, and tagged by the Supervisor.
  • Provide light electrical duties, such as changing light bulbs.
  • Show willingness to learn to become a full-time Building Engineer.

  • Emergency Response:
  • Maintain preparedness for emergency responses to floods, fires, power outages, earthquakes, and other disasters.
  • Respond promptly to project emergencies.

  • Teamwork & Customer Service:
  • Be a team player and contribute to the creation of an enjoyable, productive, and safe work environment.
  • Assist team members with tasks not strictly related to this job description.
  • Maintain customer service standards as set by the Hospitality Department and General Manager.
  • Display high morale, integrity, loyalty, and professionalism at all times.
  • Be available for overtime in special circumstances to complete projects or meet deadlines.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of Maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality or property management.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Hands on experience or course work in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting, Drywall is highly desired.
